In every state and territory, in every city and town there are one, two or maybe even three polished rippers you have never heard of. Part of the beauty of traveling within skating is that you stumble across these people before they have had magazine, internet or video coverage. We feel it is time that we had a video-based platform in Australia that reveals these heads to the masses. This is why we have invented the video regular called ‘Under the Radar’: it is a means of paying homage to these underground shredders. Last month the SbA wolfpack were in Tasmania where we were introduced to the ferociously speedy, flavoursome skate shapes of Nathan Mason. Nathan easily trail-blazed his way into first place in the Open Division of the Tassie Qualifier for the Nike SbA Am Series. He along with the rest of the Tassie field will be shredding the gnar at the Finals this Saturday March 31st at the Skatepark of Melbourne. Hope to see you there.
